Stream 2.1.8 release notes

Here are the release notes for EverTrust Stream v2.1.8, released on 2026-04-10.

For the installation and upgrade procedure, please refer to the Installation and Upgrade guide.

The Akka framework has been replaced by Pekko. It can lead to configuration changes if you manually manage the Stream configuration.
Stream packages are now available in DEB format for Debian-based distributions.

2. Enhancements

  • [STR-149] - Brainpool elliptic curves (brainpoolP256r1, brainpoolP384r1, brainpoolP512r1) are now supported in software and PKCS#11 keystores.

3. Bug Fixes

  • [STR-154] - Fixed an issue where the admin account was granted SSH permissions during bootstrap on instances without an SSH license.

  • [STR-102] - Fixed an issue where MongoDB lease acquisition failed.

4. Known Defects

  • Due to a packaging issue, the bug fixes shipped in 2.1.7 are not present in 2.1.8. These fixes will be restored starting from 2.1.9.
